The Linley Group Hosts 2016 Data Center Conference

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—January 26, 2016— The Linley Group announces its 2016 conference series, at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, Calif., will start with the Linley Data Center Conference on Feb. 9 - 10. This single-track event targets cloud-service providers, network-service providers, network-equipment vendors, server OEMs, system designers, and software developers making decisions on technologies for the data center.
“Cloud computing is changing the nature of compute, storage, and network resources across every customer category,” said Bob Wheeler, principal analyst with The Linley Group. “By providing insights into these fundamental changes and enabling interaction with technology leaders, our conference provides attendees with the information they need when designing next-generation systems.”
The conference will open with an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends impacting data-center equipment. The program’s networking topics will include software-defined networking and network-function virtualization; intelligent network-interface cards; and high-speed interconnects. Computing topics will include cloud and data-center workloads; acceleration architectures; and cloud-server processors.
The second-day keynote will feature Jon Masters, Chief ARM Architect, Red Hat, who will deliver a talk entitled “How ARM Servers Can Take Over the World.”
The conference will close with a special panel “Future Directions and Trends in Cloud Computing,” featuring thought leaders and researchers hosted by Jag Bolaria, Principal Analyst, The Linley Group.
